There were indeed a small newsletter several months ago. The launch of the fan club today, however, marks the beginning of a steady stream of monthly newsletters in the months ahead. We'll do our best to maintain the quality and amount of content every month.
As for those who haven't gotten the newsletter even though they are sent out: The problem must be in your mail client or your mail service provider. It must have landed in your spam filter or the spam filter of your mail service provider, because the newsletter have been sent out to every single mail that was signed up to it.
And no, you won't receive an immediate confirmation mail saying that you are signed up. The system, however, does send all new members the latest newsletter within 24 hours after signing up as a "welcome mail".

my spamfilters have always allow *@ageofconan.com. so it isnt my client or my mail service provider i do webhosting for a living i run my own sendmail servers
The newsletters come from newsletters@newsletters.funcom.com (newsletters@newsletters.funcom.com) so thats the address you would have to specifically allow if you wanted to ensure it didnt get caught in your spam filters.
We know from experience that Hotmail is the system most likely to block newsletters and the likes as it can be quite aggressive in its filtering.
Apparament Gmail marche.
